Arts for a Social Cause Award - Cameroon Youth Awards

I received the award for Arts for a Social Cause at the maiden edition of the Cameroon Youth Awards at Palais des Congrès, Yaoundé.

I also presented a class on Creative Thinking for Innovation - From Concept to Market. We had an amazing time.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work on a range of projects that have allowed me to explore the intersection of art and activism. From documenting the struggles of individuals living with diabetes in rural Cameroon to highlighting the importance of potable water and lack-off it in local communities, my work has consistently focused on issues of social issues. I also thank my friend Eva Boeree, with whom we began this journey with We’re All Liquid & Alakind.

#DunkTheDirt

His first steps towards activism with photography and videography was with his “Dunk the Dirt Challenge” in 2019, a social call to action against littering.

He also has a work relationship with SUGi, an international biodiversity NGO, working with Ecological Balance in Cameroon.

The United Nations & AGORA

Participating in international competitions led to one of his career highlights, as a photo from his photo series Through the Walls of Colorism was selected for an international exhibition in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations in October 2020, in Geneva. The photo also went on to be exhibited in New York and Paris in from July to September 2021.

In his interview with Global Awards, AGORA, as one of their leading creatives from Africa, he revealed he still doesn’t own a camera of his own, and creates with what he can, how he can.

A photo from the series SHAME which he created in response to the Kumba Massacre, was the cover of La Famille Magazine, Edition Speciale in November 2020.

As he transitions to videography, he shot & directed his first documentary The Diabetes Bomb in Rural Cameroon, released May 2021 and the official commercial for new E-commerce App, Fripped Africa - 2022.

We’re All Liquid

He, alongside his co-founder Eva Boeree, founded We’re All Liquid, an independent Art Curation Organization that exposes a variety of art to new audiences through collaborative expositions, connecting the art to important causes.

Together with the team they are building, they saw through the Fundraising for a drill borehole that will see 700+ school children & the surrounding community benefit from potable water - through an art exhibition.
